Introduction

Our study was conducted at the Fragapane's on Lorain Rd. in North Olmsted to investigate whether there is a significant difference between gender that goes to bakeries, and we collected our data from 12pm-2pm, every sunday, for four weeks in a row.

Let's go deeper

We decided to go to Fragapane's to determine if more men or women walked in over 15 minute intervals at Bakeries. We couldn't find any studies relating bakeries and gender, but we did find some studies on food preference and gender. One study said that men go in the store more often than women, but another study said that women like sweets more than men. So it was a little bit difficult to predict what the outcome of our study would be. We took a notebook into Fragapane's and sat next to the door and marked every time a male walked in and every time a female came in, and separated each 15 minute interval.

about Fragapane's

We couldn't find any history on Fragapanes because it's too small of a business. Fragapane's Bakery is a bakery in a plaza in North Olmsted. Many people enjoy coming in every morning for coffee and donuts (the majority of our subjects were these customers) and others come in just maybe once a year for one of their homemade cakes, or for an event. Other people might come in to get their weekly loaf of italian bread for the family. People come in to enjoy sandwiches for lunch because they also have a great variety of lunch and snack options. Fragapane's is the place to be in North Olmsted.
