Your Task is to create a marketing campaign for
the book Tale of Two Cities. You will be competing against your
classmates in the other class.The winners will get a party. The losers will get
a trip to the Principals Office. Pick a Team Leader and organize a plan.
You must have a poster/full page magazine ad, a
press release, a mock up of a commercial (PowerPoint), a final presentation and
a paper describing your overall marketing campaign. You have three days in the

Marketing Campaign
The
Press Release
Must sell the book to the general public.
Must contain mentions of the plot.
Must contain critical praise for the book.
Must be at least two pages typed.
The
Ad
Must sell the book
Can be done using Computer graphics or on poster board.
Should be accompanied by an explanation of who your target audience
is and why you chose them.
The
Commercial
Must sell the book
Must be video using iMovie. Video will be shot and edited in class.
Must come with a two-page explanation of why you chose the format
you did, and who your target audience is.
Implementation
Plan
Who will you be marketing to? Why?
How would you implement your plans? Schools? TV? Radio? Newspapers?
The Internet?
This should basically be a paper form of your final presentation.
The
Presentation
On the final day, you will present your project in a logical and
coherent manner.
You should be ready to answer any of my questions about your ad,
and about how you went about completing the project.
Remember, the better overall presentation wins.
Final
Appeal (The Boardroom)

You will be given one last chance to plead your case after you have
completed your presentation.
