Introductory Statistics
Course Description
The objective of Introductory Statistics is to promote skills such as collecting and interpreting data. Students will learn the value of statistics in acquiring knowledge and making decisions in today’s society. Computer and project based, this course will introduce students to the process of interpreting categorical and quantitative data, investigating conditional probability and the rules of probability as well as using probability to make decisions. Through the topics discussed in this class, students will become critical and thoughtful consumers of information. Introductory Statistics is a semester long course.
