The Problem
The purpose of our project is to compare the quality
of America Online disks to supposedly high quality Imation floppies. The
goal is to see if it is worthwhile to reformat AOL floppies everyone receives
for free, or if one should just buy disks from the store. The judgment
of the disks will be based on the number of disks in a sample which have
bad clusters. This will test the likelihood of data corruption due to flaws
on the disks.
