Notes from Mrs. Caso
This chapter deals mostly with numeric problems with single number answers. Don't get lazy in showing your work. It's a bad habit that will be hard to break when the problems become more complex and require more than one line to solve.
Reflections Prompts
- 2.3 - Explain why adding negative numbers is the same as subtracting positive numbers. Use a number line to help you explain.
- 2.6 - Now that we are getting into "real algebra", how do you feel about the class? Avoid general words like "fine" and "okay". Use descriptive words like "nervous" or "confident".
