Purpose
The purpose of this project is to study the time it takes to pull out of the parking lot, and the relationship that that time has on with how soon a person leaves school after 2:30p.m. We propose that as time passes between 2:30p.m. and 2:50p.m., it takes considerably longer to leave the parking lot, due to congestion. After roughly 2:50p.m., however, the parking lot is mostly empty. Everett noticed this phenomenon when he began packing his bookbag before 11th period; leaving straight from his last class, he is able to pull out of the parking lot with no time lost in traffic. However, a delay of leaving 11th period even a minute after the bell rings can add on a large amount of time waiting in the parking lot traffic.
