Conclusion

Our p-value is 0.991, so we fail to reject the null hypothesis at the 0.05 level of significance because the p-value is greater than alpha. Therefore, there is not sufficient evidence to say that the mean hours of sleep that female NOHS students get on an average school night is greater than male students.

The data for females is approximately normally distributed, however, the data for males is skewed to the right, with one very small value of 4 hours. The male data could have been affected by more nonresponse bias, since males only had 31 responses and females had 44 responses.
