Let's Hit The Weights!

     Discussion

One monstorous weakness is a gym member lying about the true number of days a week that they attend at the gym, or outright not giving me an
answer. On several occations, after I asked the question about how many days they had spent at the gym, the person whom was asked did not give
me an answer. Whenever this happened, I decided to alter the raw data by replacing that "no answer," with a one, because I know for sure they they
had gone to the gym at least one time that week. (The day I questioned them.) Providing the data is accurate, in that every person I asked gave me
an honest answer, the data should be solid and reliable.
In this study, I have the ability to extrapolate the results onto any other city controlled gym in northeast Ohio at the very least. ("City controlled" refers to
recreational centers, opposed to gyms of more serious tones and characteristics.) Mambers at a more conventional gym may attend the gym more often.
The entirely different atmosphere will draw in a different group of people then what I have found at the North Olmsted Rec. Center. Extrapolating
my results to a group of similar gyms across northeast Ohio may be as far as I can get. Not only does type of gym make an influence, the setting of
that gym shares a similar role. A place with a sunny climate that is surrounded by beaches is going to have more people at the gym that in a rainy,
grey, urban town in the middle of the country. Being able to extrapolate data to similar gyms across northeast Ohio such as Fairview, Westlake, or Bay Village is comfortable and reliable.
If I were to supply suggestions to another person conducting a similar study, I would conduct the same survey at a gym of a more serious mentality
such as Crossley Fitness, also in North Olmsted, OH. This gym is very different than the North Olmsted Rec. Center because it is an example of a
before mentioned conventional gym. Members would be more comfortable sharing their true answers the the questions.
